What is a communicable disease?


  • A communicable disease is an illness spread by coming into contact with someone or something that is infected - this could be bacteria, viruses, or parasites. These illnesses can be passed many ways including from person to person, from animals to person, ingesting contaminated food or water, breathing contaminated air, or by the bite of an infected animals.
